Happy Holidays!

As we wait once again for the snow to fall on Pine Mountain, we are entering the winter holiday season, the resting time of year that begins with the Winter Solstice. This is the time to gather in and conserve our personal energy resources, to make food and remedies with the herbal resources we’ve foraged in 2020, and to go inward for inspiration as we set our goals and plan our calendars for 2021.

I want to use this opportunity to thank all of you who contributed in a myriad of ways to the ongoing success of Herb Walks with Lanny Kaufer. If you walked or hiked with me and Rondia, attended a workshop with my special guests, shopped in the Herb Walks Shop, joined me for a virtual consultation, read and responded to my newsletters, or told a friend about Herb Walks, I thank you! And I hope and pray that you remain safe and healthy as we navigate this pandemic together. I look forward to reuniting with you in 2021.

Personally, I can hardly wait for the annual Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox Nature Hikes on Pine Mountain, my favorite venue for leading hikes in this area. (To stay updated on the status of the proposed logging project up there, please check out this blog post.)

  1. Due to personal situations, I couldn’t join your walks this past year. Please keep me on your invite list for next year. I am looking forward a lot to walking with you and your group.

  2. Lanny !! Happy Winter Solstice :)))
We were enriched this year by our brief but wonderful encounters with you on your Full Moon Walk in Ojai and the medicine making classes with Dr. Adams.
Thank you for presenting the opportunities to be safely outdoors with you and others and to connect with the spirit of the land.
We look forward to your book and many new hikes in the future.
Best wishes, Karen and Michael Landau
