Afternoon location has changed. Menu subject to change.\nPlease join me and my wife Rondia on Sunday\, April 14\, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for our second Ojai Wild Food Experience. The day will begin with a morning foraging expedition on the grounds of Euterpe Farms’ outdoor study area overlooking the Ventura River Preserve. After the foraging walk and a mid-day break\, hands-on food processing activities will take place in Fisher Hall at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Ojai to prepare a vegetarian community meal. Everyone will have a chance to participate in all activities. \nParticipants will learn to: \n\nidentify and forage edible plants of the season\nmake a salad with wild greens and flowers gathered on the property\nprepare a pasta dish with wild herbs gathered on the property\nprocess acorns for making acorn tortillas\nprepare elderflower fritters for dessert\nprocess wild black walnuts to top off the meal\n\nThere may be other activities\, depending on seasonal foods and supplies available.  I will have my book\, Medicinal Herbs of California\, available for sale and signing after the meal along with my entire mobile bookshop. \nValley oak acorns shelled and ready for processing\nRondia and Lanny Kaufer hiking in Palm Springs\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION\n\n\n\nPlease REGISTER HERE FIRST before completing payment below. \n\n\n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.\n\n\n    \n\n\n        \n        \n        \n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nPlease be sure to REGISTER above before completing payment to secure your space. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNote: Online payment includes a PayPal fee.
