We’ll begin with a 2-hour herb walk to discover native and local plants traditionally used for respiratory health\, immunity\, and cold-season care. Then\, in the hands-on portion\, Emily will guide you through making a potent sinus steam and a delicious elderberry syrup. As an herbal educator\, Lanny also leads workshops and presentations throughout the Ojai-Ventura-Santa Barbara area on the edible and medicinal uses of California plants. He holds a degree in Biology from UC Santa Cruz\, serves on the faculty of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University\, Channel Islands. \n\n\n\nLanny is the author of Medicinal Herbs of California: A Field Guide to Common Healing Plants (Falcon Guides\, 2021).
