Great recipes for the fall wild food harvest
This year I subscribed to the Living Wild Project blog. Here’s an example of the great info they share about harvesting and using wild foods: Tasting the Wild Food Forest in Fall-Oak Nuts, Pine Nuts & Madrone. You can substitute Manzanita berries for Madrone to keep it local for Southern California. NOTE: They refer to acorns as Oak Nuts. This is accurate. The seeds (acorns) of Oak trees are nuts, just as their cousin from the same Beech family makes beechnuts.
