In honor of Earth Day, here’s my 35-year-old compost pile (rebuilt every year), now just shy of 4 feet high. Time to harvest the rich fertilizer inside. This is a view of the narrow side. It’s 4 feet long and 2.5 wide at the base. Sugar snap peas on the fence behind it. Happy Earth Day!

I enjoyed the herb walk very much, and learned many things. As a gardener I have a great love for and appreciation of plants but you have broadened my horizons with some knowledge of the healing properties of plants.
