Just bring your copy of Medicinal Herbs of California: A Field Guide to Common Healing Plants or buy one there. I’ll share some of the unknown back story behind the writing of the book and read one key introductory passage with far-reaching implications.

I got laurel sumac, holly-leaved cherry, chamise (I liked what you told us about it being a good firewood in wet weather), poison oak, toyon, basketbush, desert sage, madrone, and manzanita.
