Haddock framed by complex sedimentary rock walls forming the canyon. I was a little surprised at the diversity of the flora in the canyon. Carol referred us to a lovely man named Lanny (herbwalks.com) who took us on a hike in the surrounding area, teaching us about the local vegetation (herbs, flowers, trees, etc.) which was very educational and also a lovely & peaceful experience. I would highly recommend an excursion with Lanny. We found it especially helpful to meet up with Lanny at the beginning of our trip, as it made our future hikes more fulfilling.
