Please join me on Saturday, February 5, at 1:30 pm for the official launch of my new Falcon Guides book, Medicinal Herbs of California: A Field Guide to Common Healing Plants. This free event will take place outside with a talk about plants in the Ojai Valley Museum’s Chumash Garden. Plus, I’ll be autographing my new book and have it available for purchase. We’ll meet several plants featured in my book: mugwort, toyon, wild rose, wild cherry, and elderberry among others.

Reservations are not required for this outdoor event but masks are. For more information, please visit the Ojai Valley Museum website. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, February 12.

Thank you for leading a terrific herb walk on a perfect day. In all my years in Ventura County, that was my first venture into the Potrero. I was immediately struck by the awe inspiring view of Mt. Haddock framed by complex sedimentary rock walls forming the canyon. I was a little surprised at the diversity of the flora in the canyon.
