I got laurel sumac, holly-leaved cherry, chamise (I liked what you told us about it being a good firewood in wet weather), poison oak, toyon, basketbush, desert sage, madrone, and manzanita. Haddock framed by complex sedimentary rock walls forming the canyon. I was a little surprised at the diversity of the flora in the canyon. I am grateful to have some new plant friends to work with and I have already tried the black sage foot soak! I started the sun tea as soon as I got home yesterday and soaked last night. It really seemed to help the ache I was feeling in my hips and low back! I will look forward to another walk in the spring…please keep me on the list for future walks.

Just want you to know how much Tony and I, Katie, and Brock truly enjoyed the Sunset/Moonrise Herb Walk last evening. It was magical when the moon came over the mountain. What a wonderful day we had on Pine Mountain last month. The experience from that day has stayed with me, breathing that cool, fresh mountain air and learning about all the different conifers.
