Cluff Vista Park “Weed Out”

Friends of Cluff Vista Park is a new group of citizen volunteers formed to restore Cluff Vista Park to the beautiful native plant demonstration garden and public art sanctuary it was designed to be.
The group is inviting the community to its fourth “Weed Out” on Sunday, June 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Cluff Vista Park, 324 W. Ojai Ave. Native plant specialists, including me and Betsy Vanleit of Ojai Trees and Ojai Valley Green Coalition, will lead the process. Friends of Cluff Vista Park is hoping to include individual citizens and service groups of all ages in the clean up effort. The project is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. but volunteers can arrive at any time before 11 a.m.
No advance signup is required but volunteers will be asked to sign a City of Ojai release form. Leaders of groups are asked to email Christine Golden at christinegolden@sbcglobal.net to coordinate larger numbers of volunteers.
If you love Cluff Vista Park — our award winning native plant sanctuary that embraces the spirit of Ojai — please come help on June 25. Please bring a hat, gloves and hand weeding tools. Water and snacks will be provided.
