I got laurel sumac, holly-leaved cherry, chamise (I liked what you told us about it being a good firewood in wet weather), poison oak, toyon, basketbush, desert sage, madrone, and manzanita. I would highly recommend an excursion with Lanny. We found it especially helpful to meet up with Lanny at the beginning of our trip, as it made our future hikes more fulfilling.
