This remarkable book was written by a Professor Emeritus of Pharmacology and his colleagues. Each plant is carefully presented and researched with references (310 citations!) and accompanied by a color photo. Safety issues for each plant are discussed. The book is based in part on the teachings of Cecilia Garcia, a Chumash Indian healer. Dr. Adams’ pharmacology studies of the plants make this a unique integration of the oldest and newest information on Western medicinal plants.
