Join me and renowned author/forager/survivalist Christopher Nyerges on Saturday, November 7, in Ojai for an outdoor Fall Harvesting and Survival Workshop.
Participants will:
- learn to identify edible and medicinal plants
- practice making cordage from yucca leaves, and

The workshop will begin with a morning herb walk among the native plants on the fringes of Euterpe Farms, bordering the Ventura River Preserve. The afternoon workshop will take place under an oak tree. Everyone will have a chance to participate.
The following COVID-19 safeguards will be in place unless conditions and state requirements change by then:
- Attendance will be limited to 20 participants.
- Those with flu-like symptoms will be asked to remain at home.
- Temperatures will be checked upon arrival.
- Everyone will be required to wear a mask or face covering and observe 6 feet of physical distancing.

We must meet the people and nature if we are to thrive. We are ready to learn and implement wise ways into our lives. We keep gardens and will love to open our understanding of the larger natural world. Thank you
Thanks for attending the November 14 workshop, Keith, and for sharing seeds from your garden. You echo what Christopher said, that our ability to work together as as community is one of our most important, if not THE most important, of our survival skills.
