Thank you for leading a terrific herb walk on a perfect day. In all my years in Ventura County, that was my first venture into the Potrero. I was immediately struck by the awe inspiring view of Mt. Haddock framed by complex sedimentary rock walls forming the canyon. I was a little surprised at the diversity of the flora in the canyon. Admittedly, I probably know less about botany than anyone else on the hike. The PDF document you attached will reinforce all of the in-field learning.

What a great walk and talk! Not only a good introduction to native herbs, but as a newcomer to the area, it was a perfect chance to get acquainted with the Sulphur Mountain Trail. I’ll keep my eyes open for the plants you showed us. I walk at least once a week at Lake Casitas. Thanks again for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
