Lanny is a deep well of knowledge and insight into our local ecosystems and botany. I took my kids (a pre-teen and a teen) and both had an amazing time learning more about their favorite plants and getting introduced to some new ones. I myself, am an absolute plant nerd…so I had a blast!
10/10 would recommend. The walk was perfectly paced, the information was flowing and engaging, and the follow up recap sheet was a great way to allow folks to dig deeper into what we had learned.

Thank you for leading a terrific herb walk on a perfect day. In all my years in Ventura County, that was my first venture into the Potrero. I was immediately struck by the awe inspiring view of Mt. Haddock framed by complex sedimentary rock walls forming the canyon. I was a little surprised at the diversity of the flora in the canyon. Admittedly, I probably know less about botany than anyone else on the hike. The PDF document you attached will reinforce all of the in-field learning.
