Nature Art
Believe it or not, I don’t spend all my time on the trails just surveying and tasting plants. As beautiful as they are, sometimes, other “nature art” around me catches my eye, too. And sometimes in unlikely places. Case in point, this oak tree snag carved by bark beetle larvae on the new Franklin Trail in Carpinteria. Once I got home, a few minutes playing with the closer view of the two in iPhoto produced the image at the bottom.
